About Braylov
In Brailov village of Zmerinskij district every stone breathes with life. The Orthodox Sviatoshunskij women monastery, Peter Tchaikovsky museum, an ancient park will impress every tourist. The first written data of Brailov dates back to the ХV century. In the XVI-XVII centuries Brailov went through a lot of plundering raids of Polish and Turkish armies. During the later period Brailov became the town of Brazlavskij regiment, through which the border of the Kozak Republic lied. The government was changing constantly, so was the look of the town.
In 1740 the construction of the monastery- the highest building of Old Brailov began. The monastery consists of the Roman-Catholic church, connected with the gallery of cells. The belfry in baroque style looks like a beautiful tower of a palace. Even bells there sounded unusually due to oval niches. In 1787 King Stanislav August visited Brailov to admire wall paintings of the monastery, created by artist and monk Iosif Prahtl.
In spring, 1878 Tchaikovsky accepted the invitation of a rich patron to come to Brailov. The visit impressed him greatly. A beautiful palace, a wonderful park and lakes with swans- a real paradise. The surroundings evoked creativity. Here the first orchestra suite, the opera «Orleans Made», pieces for the violin, 7 romances, among them «Among the noisy ball», «It was in early spring», and the Don Juan serenade were created. Here two composers P.I. Tchaikovsky and young Clod de Byssi met for the first time. The composer’s museum is opened in the restored palace. The exposition gets the tourists acquainted with the creative activity of Tchajkovskij.
The park with magnificent limes and hornbeams invites you to have a rest under the trees, where the composer used to walk, creating his masterpieces.

About Hitler 's Bunker
Eight kilometers away from Vinnitsa, in a small pine grove, during World War II, a bunker for
Fuehrer Adolf Hitler was built under the code name "Werwolf". Hitler had several bunkers across Europe, but perhaps "Werwolf" was one of the most famous, best known. It has been documented that this bunker was Adolf Hitler's favorite during World War II. Building of the bunker started in December 1941, and its construction was
concluded in June 1942 under conditions of complete secrecy. Germans spread rumors about the building of a sanatorium for officers and frontline soldiers. Nevertheless, the Kievan underground resistance did find out about the arrival of Hitler in Vinnitca and reported it to Moscow. Naturally, most of the bunker infrastructure was under earth. Scientists presume that the apartments located underground had been covered with layers of sand 6 meters deep and were also enclosed in granite. Rumors abound that the depth of the bunker was the equivalent of a seven story building. The German troops in retreat, dropped powerful bombs, which blew up the outward structures of the bunker. The underground entrances were totally
bricked up. In March 1944, a special commission appointed by the personal order of Joseph Stalin, conducted a study of the caves in Vinnitca's Hitler bunker. The commission came to the conclusion that the retreating German troops retrieved important documents and objects of value. Throughout the years, other searches at "Werwolf" have been extensively conducted. Even after the passage of 60 years, Hitler's bunker keeps the secrets, provoking exciting hypotheses and guess work !!!
